Every performance comes with a full play pack for classroom use — ready-made activities to prepare your students before and after the play.
Written for your level
Every play is written for a specific age group and level of English — primary, secondary, or advanced.
This Season’s Plays
All three plays are performed live for your school, each written for a specific age group; running time 50–60 minutes.
The Curious Adventures of Jack Todd
Ages 6–12 · Primary
A comic adventure inspired by classic stories from English literature. Shipwrecks, peculiar pirates and a very hands-on audience. One of our most popular shows for younger learners.
Too Good to Miss
Ages 12–16 · Secondary
Three friends, exam pressure, a film competition, a mystery letter and a consequent complication.
A contemporary story with plenty of audience participation.
A Bit of a Hitch
Ages 16+ · High School & Adults
A fast-moving comedy inspired by Hitchcock — mystery, suspense, romance and a touch of film noir. Sharp, witty and rich in natural, nuanced English. No knowledge of Hitchcock required.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. We can perform any of our plays on the same day. If you want to take advantage of our discounts for multiple performances on the same day, you can choose any of our three plays, or the same play more than once.
-
The plays are prepared to last approximately 50 minutes to one hour. The exact running time depends upon the audience. As we involve them directly in our plays their contribution obviously affects the final length of the performance.
-
It depends. We can perform before as few as 50 students if you wish or as many as 300 (if the venue is suitable). Our typical audience size is between 120 and 220 students.
-
We do not need a theatre to perform. Our plays are designed to be adaptable to any venue.
All we require is an acting area in a space where the audience can be seated comfortably and see and hear the actors. Our typical venue is the school hall/theatre/multi-purpose room. Frequently schools arrange a local theatre or cinema for our performances. Usually, the local town hall will give a space free to the school. However, to repeat, we are extremely adaptable. It is not the place that makes a good performance, it is the actors and the audience. If you have any doubts, just ask us.
-
Apart from an electrical socket for our sound system, all we need is that the acting area is illuminated. We do not need special theatre lighting.
