A Bit Of A Hitch

A Bit Of A Hitch is above all a fast-moving comedy in full ETC audience involving style; as we attempt to perform many of the key moments in Alfred Hitchcock’s films on stage, brought up to date in a relatable story.

As such A Bit of A Hitch is a mystery, intrigue, suspense, thriller, horror, spy, detective story, as well as being a full on romcom.

A Bit of a Hitch introduces us to David, a perfectly happy, quiet, somewhat timid, university student who is studying archaeology and who, in the most typically Hitchcockian plot device, is mistaken for somebody else and is sucked into a world of crime, dangerous women, mysterious and menacing men as mistake follows mistake, dragging David deeper and deeper into our fast moving, highly entertaining, comic, film noir world.

There is no need to know anything about Hitchcock’s actual films. The genres he mixed together and filmed are everywhere in modern cinema.
