Billy’s First Day Back

Now home after the first day back at school, Billy Fibber, the seventeen-year-old “hero” of our stage play William B, is looking back on his day, and dreading the many more school days to come. As he says in the opening of his new video blog: “it’s the first day of school today … only another 194 to go.”

Billy is a bright, lazy, slightly introverted boy with an extremely vivid imagination. He spends much of his time just drifting away into his thoughts. He is capable of daydreaminghimself into trouble as much as he can fantasise himself out of it. 

As Billy shares his thoughts with us in this short film, we also meet his arch enemy, Stevie-O, who is as fierce and dumb as ever, and the new love of Billy’s life, the girl who has returned to school in Billy’s words “shockingly different” after the long break of summer. 

There is a full accompanying class pack, divided by language level with plenty of choice of activities for the teacher to choose for their particular classes comprising of comprehension and further interpretation, language work and further activities.
